Using simply voice, gesture and story, this award-winning storyteller & author invites you into the theatre of your own imagination. Raised in the Irish oral tradition she grew up to act on New York’s stage and screen. Multicultural mythology, a love of language, and her outrageous family lured her back to storytelling.

Born in England to Irish parents, Yvonne immigrated with her family to the Appalachian Mountains in Pennsylvania.  Inherited wanderlust inspired Yvonne to leave that small town for Swarthmore College, Tufts University, and eventual life as a professional actress in the Big Apple. The birth of her daughters re-opened her heart to storytelling where she thrives on the deep sense of connection between audience and storyteller.

Yvonne Healy is a born storyteller! When she talks the wind forgets to blow and kids forget they're not watching TV! Whether at school or library, conference or festival, college or corporation -- close to home in Michigan or across America - the air shimmers with her unique blend of spoken word, Irish wit, ancient legend and modern history.

The trio told stories featuring Giants and Dwarves that included:

Bran the Blessed

The Traveller and the Dwarf

Tapangi and the Conjure man

The Steed o' Bells

The Giant of Wreckin Hill
