Stone Soup continues its association with this festival in 2004 and will be represented by Nik Brooks.

Nik lives on Plymouth's Barbican. He is a storyteller, actor, writer & musician. His informal, relaxed style of storytelling explores his love of folk tales, myth and legend. He presents the characters in his stories in a down to earth way, so that we can identify with them on a human level, without losing the magic or significance of the tales. He is fascinated with the most ancient tales, and the transmutation they have made in their journey across aeons and cultures. He aims to make such stories accessible by having fun telling them.

Regular Stone Soup Storyteller Daithí Ó Dubhghaill (aka David Doyle) tells Midnight Tales by candlelight to a packed audience of children and adults at the 2003 festival. The stories included:

Odysseus and The Cyclops

The Leprechaun and The Field of Ragworths

The Oillpeist

Fionn Mac Cumhaill and The Scottish Giant
